An oriental wedding at Château de Champlatreux

Picture this: it was October 2023, an inquiry arrives from Roudha, a radiant bride-to-be from Dubai, with dreams of a Parisian wedding.

Despite the miles between us, her excitement and vision transcend borders, and we begin crafting her dream celebration at Chateau de Champlatreux, two months later, for January 2024.

Roudha’s passion and cultural traditions guide our planning journey, ensuring every detail, from the exclusive female-team, the traditional Arabic coffee service to the grand fireworks finale, reflects her heritage and dreams.

This evening was dedicated only to the bride and only with women. It is a unique and symbolic tradition that celebrates the union between the bride and her husband. It is a time of sharing, joy and transmission of ancestral values, thus strengthening the links between the women of the community.

During this evening, a coffee, called “gahwa”, is served in small cups called “finjan”. The bride takes place in the center of the room on her bridal sofa and offers coffee to the women present. This gesture symbolizes the bride’s acceptance within her new family and her integration into the community of married women.

Throughout the day an image team with photographer and videographer followed the event and captured memories so that the bride remembered each moment of this evening.

A highlight was the entry of the bride on a traditional music where she paraded in front of her guests. The entrance of the bride is above all a celebration of her beauty and femininity. Dressed in her most beautiful wedding dress, often sumptuous and embroidered with gold threads, she attracts all eyes and arouses the admiration of her guests. Her graceful and elegant approach symbolizes her transition to married status.

As the sun sets, the sky lights up with a dazzling fireworks display, marking the end of a day filled with love and cherished memories. Roudha’s wedding is a celebration of culture, love, and the collaborative effort of an all-female team, dedicated to making her dreams a reality.

Watching her dance the night away with her beloved, I feel privileged to have been part of her journey, bringing her vision to life in the city of love.
